This practical, hands-on training prepares participants to help people evacuate their homes and communities safely during emergencies. Whether it’s flooding, storms, or civil defence emergencies, this course teaches how to support whānau, neighbours, and vulnerable people in getting to safety. Participants will learn how to assist in evacuations at a community level—not making evacuation decisions but helping people move safely when needed. This training aligns with key aspects of NZQA Unit Standard 7302 – Assist people to evacuate during an emergency.
