Course Overview
This hands-on training prepares participants to minimise storm damage and protect properties before, during, and after severe weather events. Participants will learn practical mitigation techniques, including boarding up windows, securing loose structures, using tarpaulins, and reinforcing buildings. This course aligns with NZQA Unit Standard 23694 – Respond to storm emergencies and includes elements of NZQA Unit Standard 22297 – Provide initial response at flood incidents.
