emergency preparedness & resilience

supporting organisations in emergency preparedness

At FIRST72, we partner with organisations of all types to build preparedness, readiness and resilience for emergencies. Whether you’re a school, healthcare provider, church, community group, non-profit, or government department, your ability to respond effectively during a disaster is essential to protecting lives and property, maintaining critical services, and supporting the wider community.

Our tailored emergency preparedness solutions and services help organisations prepare for the unique challenges they face. For example:

  • Schools: From EPODs to FIRST72 Emergency Kits equipped with food, water, and medical supplies to support students and staff during lockdowns or evacuations.
  • Churches:  To support in providing aid and assistance in emergency times.
  • Healthcare Providers: Backup power systems, medical supplies, and communication tools to maintain operations during power outages or natural disasters.
  • Non-Profit Organisations: Customised solutions to ensure continuity of services for vulnerable populations.
  • Government Departments: Comprehensive planning resources and equipment to support large-scale coordination and response efforts.

In addition to our products, we offer a range of support services to help organisations prepare and respond. These include emergency planning workshops, staff training, and ongoing support to update and refine your preparedness strategies.   From grab bags to workplace emergency kits, FIRST72 provides the tools, services, and expertise your organisation needs to continue making a difference when it matters most.

Not-for-profits and charities

Since 2022, we have partnered with 17+ not-for-profits and charities to help build resilient communities

FIRST72 are New Zealand emergency experts.

Over the past 4 years, we have worked with 11 NZ Government agencies to deliver community resilience projects, supply critical communications and emergency equipment, provide strategic emergency preparedness advice and contribute to NZ’s emergency management policy and legislative reform.

Our EPODs were also featured in the NZ Government’s Independent Inquiry into the 2023 North Island Severe Weather Events Response, led by former Governor-General Sir Jerry Mateparae.

We understand how Government works, and how to deliver in partnership with it.
