CASE STUDIES

Northland communities take part in emergency preparedness training with FIRST72

The sessions brought together marae representatives and community leaders from across the Northland region.

FIRST72 recently partnered with community leaders and emergency management representatives across Northland to deliver a hands-on emergency preparedness and response training session.

In early October, we delivered two training sessions for Te Roroa Social Development Tunatahi, supported by Te Puni Kōkiri (TPK).

The sessions brought together marae representatives and community leaders from across the region to strengthen local emergency response capability.

Training covered basic first aid, as well as community hub setup and response operations, using practical scenarios based on emergencies that could affect local marae.

It was a great to support communities across Northland, particularly those around Dargaville, including several groups FIRST72 has previously worked with to enhance their preparedness.
