Building on the AMI FIRST72 SMART EPOD® deployed to Clevedon in December 2025, AMI Insurance has partnered with FIRST72 again – this time to put a fully-equipped EPOD® Flood Response Trailer in the hands of the Pōhutukawa Coast Community Response Team (PCCRT).
The trailer extends the PCCRT’s capability beyond the welfare hub at Clevedon Hall – allowing them to safely drive into affected areas and support community flood response when severe weather strikes.
It’s loaded with specialist equipment, including:
- FIRST72 Flood Barriers
- Chainsaws
- Honda pumps and generators
- Sandbags
- Emergency kits
- Tools for protecting homes and properties
- Traffic management equipment for use during emergencies
The trailer was purpose-designed to complement the existing EPOD set-up – meaning the PCCRT can now respond at the hub and in the field, extending help to the people and places that need it most.
