Our EPODs are equipped with advanced technology and critical supplies tailored to the needs of each marae.
Marae in coastal areas, regions prone to flooding, and other vulnerable locations face higher risks during disasters.
Our solutions are designed to address these specific challenges, providing the tools and support needed to enhance resilience and recovery efforts. By focusing on vulnerable communities, we help ensure that no one is left behind during a crisis.
We can also provide training and workshops to educate whānau and hapū on emergency preparedness, including first aid, resource management, and emergency management. By strengthening the skills and knowledge of community members, we enhance their ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
The EPODs generously provided by Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Te Puni Kōkiri has given the Marae and local community the ability to be prepared to deal with any natural disaster. Having it onsite gives peace of mind that appropriate resources are readily available to be utilised when needed.
EPOD has provided exceptional customer service from concept to on-time delivery of 20 x Resilience Emergency Pods for the Wairoa district. The communities will benefit enormously from this initiative for years to follow as our area is prone to climate change and isolation in the event of a natural disaster that unfortunately eventuated recently with Cyclone Gabrielle. In a major disaster, emergency services will be overwhelmed, and it might take several days before help arrives. You need to be self-sufficient and prepared to survive on your own. This means having enough resources and supplies to last the first 72 hours and having a plan for shelter, food, water, and medical needs.
