AMI is one of NZ’s most trusted insurance brands.

FIRST72 has partnered with AMI on a range of preparedness and community resilience initiatives. FIRST72 has developed co-branded AMI FIRST72 Grab Bags and First Aid Kits which AMI have used to drive household preparedness to its customers and communities. We also worked alongside AMI at public events, including a Community Response Expo in Auckland.

In Dec 2025, we also deployed an AMI FIRST72 SMART EPOD and an AMI FIRST72 Flood Response Trailer for an Auckland community group. This was followed by an AMI FIRST72 open day at Clevedon Market focused on preparedness for severe weather events.

As one of New Zealand’s major banks, Westpac relies on uniterrupted communications during emergency events to maintain business continuity – especially for senior staff who need to stay connected.

FIRST72 has worked with Westpac NZ to address this problem through the deployment of 22 FIRST72 Starlink Kits that can be strategically positioned in locations across the country. 

IAG is New Zealand and Australia’s largest general insurer, employing 4,000+ staff and trading under the AMI, State, NZI, Lumley and Lantern brands, as well as underwriting general insurance products distributed by ASB, BNZ, Westpac and The Co-operative Bank.

FIRST72 has worked closely with IAG NZ on a range of emergency preparedness and sustainability initiatives, supporting their wider commitment to building more resilient communities.

Westfield operates 42 major retail malls across Australia and NZ. 

FIRST72 was engaged to help Westfield NZ build resilience and protect business continuity. We delivered 2 customised EPODs for Westfield Riccarton in Christchurch to give their team a self-contained operating base if the mall was structurally damaged in an earthquake.  

Ngāi Tahu Holdings is the commercial arm of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu.

Within the group, Ngāi Tahu Tourism operates a collection of iconic experiences including Shotover Jet, Franz Josef Glacier Guides, Dart River Adventures, Hollyford Wilderness Experience, the Dark Sky Project and Hukafalls Jet. 

FIRST72 worked with Ngāi Tahu on emergency planning for their tourism businesses, with a focus on the Alpine Fault 8 (AF8) scenario and the deployment of EPODs at high-exposure sites such as Franz Josef and Shotover Jet.

With these businesses being situated in some of the most stunning and isolated parts of Te Waipounamu, Ngāi Tahu carries with it a significant manaakitanga responsibility for the safety of staff and manuhiri (visitors) in the event of a major event. 

This work builded on FIRST72’s earlier project with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu in 2024, where we deployed 22 EPODs to Ngāi Tahu marae across Te Waipounamu.

Ando Insurance is a NZ-based insurance provider with a growing focus on emergency preparedness and sustainability.

FIRST72 has worked with Ando across a broad programme of preparedness and sustainability work.

RealNZ is one of NZ’s leading tourism operators, running cruises, ski fields and activities across Stewart Island, Fiordland, Cardrona and Treble Cone.

With operations spanning isolated roads, alpine passes and backcountry locations, the safety of guests and crew in the event of a major incident is a real and ongoing consideration.

FIRST72 has supplied RealNZ with emergency provisions for their coach fleet, including FIRST72 Radix Emergency Food Rations stored on board their buses.

These supplies are designed to sustain a full coach load of up to 50 passengers for three days should a vehicle become stranded following an earthquake, slip, severe weather event or road closure. 

Northbridge is a retirement village and aged care facility on Auckland’s North Shore.

Following repeated flooding events that placed vulnerable residents, staff and property at risk, Northbridge engaged FIRST72 to deliver a long-term flood resilience solution.

FIRST72 designed and installed a complete flood response system tailored to the site, including over 100+ metres of FIRST72 Flood Barriers, Honda pumps and supporting equipment to protect both residential units and the underground car park from future flooding.

The system gives Northbridge the capability to respond rapidly when severe weather threatens. 

Scentre Group is the ASX-listed owner and operator of the Westfield brand across Australia and NZ, managing a portfolio of 42 destinations. As one of Australasia’s largest retail property groups, the safety of staff, retailers and customers is a critically important.

FIRST72 continues to work with Scentre Group on broader planning across their portfolio.

Pan Pac is NZ’s largest forest products company and employs over 400 staff and 400 contractors across Hawke’s Bay and Otago.

Headquartered at Whirinaki, just north of Napier, Pan Pac was one of the businesses hardest hit by Cyclone Gabrielle, when floodwaters from the Esk Valley inundated their site and forced a lengthy recovery and rebuild.

FIRST72 has partnered with Pan Pac property team to plan their emergency preparedness for future emergency events. Our work together has focused on building out emergency supplies capable of sustaining 150 staff for three days following a significant incident.

We have also equipped Pan Pac with emergency communications capability, including a FIRST72 Starlink Rapid Deployment Kit.

Crash Services is a 24/7 vehicle recovery and towing operator in Palmerston North and Levin.

Their team of qualified Vehicle Recovery Specialists are dispatched around the clock to accidents and breakdowns at all hours of the day and night.

FIRST72 designed and supplied a full range of customised grab bags for the Crash Services fleet, ensuring every truck is equipped with the right kit to keep their crew safe on the job. 

FIRST72 has partnered with Pan Pac property team to plan their emergency preparedness for future emergency events. Our work together has focused on building out emergency supplies capable of sustaining 150 staff for three days following a significant incident.

AFT Pharmaceuticals is a multinational pharmaceutical company.

FIRST72 has worked with AFT across a range of emergency preparedness initiatives aimed at strengthening medical readiness and response. 

UniMed is a medical insurance company.

FIRST72 worked with UniMed to design customised emergency kits for their Christchurch offices, tailored to meet their business health and safety requirements. 

Advancing Plumbing is a leading Central North Island plumbing, drainage and gas fitting company. 

FIRST72 worked with Advanced to kit out a emergency response trailer, equipped to support both their team and the wider Hawke’s Bay Plumbers and Gasfitters Association in the event of a major emergency.

FIRST72 designed a Tier 3 communications network across the Central North Island for Gasnet, providing critical communications resilience to support continuity of operations during major events and infrastructure outages.
