Non-Profits & Charitable Organisations

After COVID-19 & Cyclone Gabrielle, communities & whānau told us they feel vulnerable, isolated and alone. We want to change that.
HE TANGATA, HE TANGATA, HE TANGATA

help us build resilient communities

Non-for-profit and charitable organisations play a crucial role in enabling our communities to plan for the future and build long-term resilience.

When a major disaster strikes, Civil Defence & emergency services will be overwhelmed and it might take several days before help arrives.

That’s why building readiness and resilience at the community level is fundamental to reducing negative impacts of severe events, and ultimately safeguarding our people.

Communities & whanau need to be prepared to survive on their own for at least the FIRST72 hours.  This means having access to critical resources & supplies such as food, water, shelter and medical needs, and also having a plan for evacuation and prolonged isolation.

Everyone has a part to play in shaping our national emergency management system, and non-for-profits and charitable organisations are at the heart of it.

With your support, we can work together to empower our people to face any crisis head-on.

By partnering with us, you can trust us to deliver positive outcomes for our communities that will have lasting  impacts for generations to come.
